January 2007 Blogs

Happy New Year and greetings for the new year of 2007. Can you believe we are already in a new year! Families are still moving into the Conroe area looking for homes and places for their businesses. Montgomery County is very business friendly and we encourage new businesses to come to our area. Many have already taken advantage of our good weather and close proximity to Houston (the 4th largest city in the nation). In December our family did the "road trip" to Southern California then across to Salina, Kansas where we encountered several snow storms. We were glad to return to warm and sunny Conroe, Texas! With the new season approaching, we are gearing up to meet your needs whether you are a seller, wanting me to list your property, or a buyer, looking for a new home for the family. Real estate is really starting to "buzz" and the sooner we get started with you, the sooner you will be settled into your new place with your feet up! Remember, I'm only a phone call away.

Texas Ice Storm! Conroe Area Homes Picture - Texas Ice Storm

What a "Winter Wonderland" we have had yesterday and today. This is unusual for our fair city of Conroe. I was out this morning and the roads were not too bad. As always with ice, lower your speed, take turns widely, and do not make quick moves. For those of us who have lived in a colder climate (Maine) this is not a big deal. Speaking on the home selling subject, more and more homes are being listed on the market, starting our season, and all of us here in the Keller Williams Realty office are working with more and more sellers and buyers. If you need help with listing your home or buying a home, check out the "10 tips for buyers/sellers". We're here to help. Give me a call. Have a warm and safe week! -- Linda Dayen

Recently, as a member of the Greater Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, I had the priviledge of hearing the Astros' Ball Club manager, Phil Garner, as he addressed us last week. I enjoyed the update on our Houston Astros baseball players and the humerous stories that he recounted about his life as a Major League player himself. He boasted of a great season and several "heavy hitters" who will be keeping us "on the map!" Being so close to Houston, Conroe and all of its ball fans can take advantage of a great team that respresents the Conroe area well. Go Astros! --Linda Dayen
